drag suits and belts

Does anyone else out there use a drag suit or a drag belt for workouts? I wear an old, stretched out suit that I wear over another stretched out suit for workouts. They create a lot of drag! I wear them for most of my workouts. I also use a drag belt. It is a mesh suit that looks like a men's suit, except it has 4 pockets that are held open with plastic to create a parachute effect. I have two. One is older and is made by TYR. The other is new and made by FINA. I only do a few sets with these since they make for a very hard swim. I find that these two forms of drag give me a good hard workout! Does anyone else do this?

  • I have a really stretched out suit from last year that I put over what is now becoming a really stretched out suit from this year. I'll get a new 'undersuit' for next year and the only question is - will I use one or both of the old ones for drag? I've never used a parachute/belt but I'm sure it gives a great workout. I LOVE the feeling of swimming without the drag at meets. (putting in smilies because they're there...) :bump::cheerleader::bouncing::bliss::banana::bolt:
