Looks like Michigan's more or less got this thing wrapped up barring something very unusual. Solid prelim session today and they nabbed the top seed in the 400 free relay. Cal didn't even make the A final.
How about Kevin Cordes going under 1:50 in prelims? Unreal!
Kalisz split 59.83 for the breastroke leg of his 4IM. Impressive!
Yeah, not too shabby. His free split is the only one I've ever beaten as a 100 of the stroke.

4 insane swims there. I think Cordes wins the prize though. He took over 2 seconds off the 200 BR record this weekend. I just checked ncaa.com and he did get Swimmer of the Meet. :agree:
No one else had ever broken 1:51 I think, and he breaks 1:49, and not by a little. Mind-blowing.
Morozov was incredible too, he's just so much faster than everyone else. He goes 40.2 in the relay -- at the end of the meet! -- and I think no one else at the meet was under 42.

Truly amazing. I need to watch the videos of his swims. I guess his turnover is ridiculous.

His S P L (strokes per length) was: 3 - 4 - 4 - 4 - 4 - 5 - 5 - 6
At the 100 he took 15 strokes & went out in 52.1.
I'm real curious to see how he does long course

He looked so long, smooth and relaxed. Makes me think he's capable of going substantially faster.
highly doubtful. i workout with a 2 time ncaa 200 *** champion and olympian in the 200m *** and he says he is working his rear off even though to us it looks effortless. the best usually do make it look easy.
he may have a little more in the tank but not a lot.
and to think he did this without a tech suit!!!
mind blowing fast.
