Brent Hayden went 48.53 tonight. No one else went under 49 so I'm not really fearing the relay from the north at this point. Hayden might make the podium in the individual event though - I think he's got plenty more speed.I didn't catch finals, but I was there live for his prelim swim where he was about the same time and he looked like he was just cruising. He had to get under 48.8, I think, to lock his slot; I suspect he's got A LOT more speed.
On a similar note, I suspect Brittney McLean will be gunning for something much faster tomorrow night in the 800.
