wow, that was a fail. If he was planning on swimming the 400, he should just pull out now.
Where he is seeded 28th, more than two seconds out of the top 4. Props to the guy for even coming close after 6+ years away, but looks like he came up short.
Hey this might not be the end for him. He still has worlds next year and who knows, maybe the Olympics in '16. Lezak was no spring chicken when he tore up the field in that relay. I think 6 years might have been too much time away to make up for it in 14 months. I know from personal experience. At age 44, I am making up for 41 years away from the pool; it's a long and arduous process. Lol.
The results site still isn't showing the complete 100 free results, so I resorted to Twitter. What a sad way to find out that Thorpe didn't make it. Nice swim by Magnussen, though: 48.26.
