Also, Huegill is looking strong in the semis of my favorite non-Olympic event: A good overall time and a good result for Thorpe. Bad splitting though. 5.6 seconds difference between 100's is not good. If he was just cruising into the finish because it was prelims, well then ok. We'll see if his semifinal swim is better.

Aside from Thorpe's failure to progress, there were some great swims by "old-timers" and newcomers. I predict she'll get under 8:30 easily and take a slot for London.
