During Gary Hall Jr.'s chat session yesterday I asked him what he thought about Ian Thorpe's comeback attempt. To paraphrase, he said he gives him props for trying, but Ian's gotten slower while everyone else has gotten faster. He said he had the feeling even Ian didn't really think he was going to make it. I think he's right about this. I got the impression Ian thinks he got back in the pool a little too late to get back to where he needed to be. I do hope Ian keeps at it and make Worlds next year.
I think he's right about not really believing...
On another note, there are some great times coming from the French trials too - Agnel 1.44 200 free, Camille Muffat 1.54/4.02 in the women's, forget his name, but 52.7 in the men's backstroke....
The pool is going to be on fire this summer!!
