I though the All Star point system was based on Open water events and Postals.
There are two types of All-Stars: Long-Distance (which I now see is what you were asking about) and Pool (which is what I was talking about).
I don't know anything about the LD All-Stars. I see that last year they were announced on January 24 so they appear to be late this year.
I always get confused about the division of labor between the two LD/OW committees so I don't know which committee tallies the points: either Long Distance (LongDistance@usms.org, chaired by Donn Livoni) or Open Water (OpenWater@usms.org, chaired by Lynn Hazlewood).
