With the entry deadline not too far away (March 23), let's see who's going and what they will be swimming.
Sent the entry off on Sunday:
50, 100, 200 ***
200 Fly
200 (6th Event), 400 IM
I just sent mine in this afternoon:
50, 100, 200 ***
50 Free
I was hoping for a 5th event, but I haven't been able to make NQT's in my 100 breaststroke. It was one of my goals for this year, so I guess I will revise my goal and hope to make NQT sometime this year, so I can use it for 2013! :agree:
Been signed up for awhile now with a nice mix of events
Friday -- 400 IM, 100 fly
Saturday --100 IM, 200 fly
Sunday -- 500 free, 200 IM
I'm so looking forward to this meet -- cajoled my sisters and Dad into joining me for Family Relays!
I've got the hotel room booked and car organized ... just need to figure out when I'm going to pull the trigger on flights and where I'm going to fly into:
CLT
Pros: direct flights, high likelihood of upgrade, no cramped regional jets
Cons: Geek will give me crap about coming through his town and not working out with him again
GSO
Pros: closest, most logical
Cons: most expensive (all things considered), connections
RDU
Pros: where I'm staying pre & post-meet
Cons: only Southwest flies direct ... not a comfortable long-haul option
So, what's your guess for this one? I'll go with 2012; easy to remember! :D
I'm thinking it will be much smaller than that. I'll say 1,610.
But I think we need to defer this contest until after the entry deadline...
I'm 99% sure I am going. I haven't been training like I should -- life keeps geting in the way -- but I'm in better shape than last year this time. I made NQT in 100 br, so I'm thinking about adding either 50 fly or 200 Br as a fourth event. Not sure nationals is the best place to do my first 200 br.
Alternative is to not swim Sunday and fully enjoy the social. :)
Anyway: 50 Br, 100 Br, 100 IM at least
I'm NOT going to Greensboro, wherever the heck that is!! :)
:canada: Nats is much closer and cheaper for me.
Friday: Drive
Saturday: 400 IM, 400 Free
Sunday: 200 Free, 100 Fly, 100 Free
Monday: 200 Fly & Drive Home
