What strange hormones are they putting in collegiate waters these days? Unbelievable times. It makes you feel like you are from a separate and decidedly inferior species. I know first hand as a slower D1 male swimmer.

  • 43.56 He's definitely got a shot at breaking the NCAA and American record in the individual event. Austin Staab has it with a 44.18. I remember when Staab swam that time someone who was at the meet told me he basically swam the last 30 yards no breath. He didn't breathe into the third turn, didn't breathe at the wall, and did the last 25 no breath!

I got the privilege of seeing this live ... it was a work of art ... he crushed every wall nearly to the 15M mark, but the last wall, in particular, was stunning. I hate to say it again ... but ... Cal swimmers looked the best as a team in the pool tonight ... and ... why does Cal still not have any divers? Cal is again in good form, but it remains to be seen if they can overcome a lack of participants in the cannonball competition. Q: Why no divers? A: One outdoor 50m pool with no diving well; no tower; sketchy weather from October to April; water polo and swimming are the culture.
