So here's a crazy idea for relay exchanges for swimming.. Lay a towel right by the deck so when the swimmer is finishing his leg, the guy going next does a running start and dives right off the deck.
Is it legal?

I've heard of running-start relays in swimming but I've never actually seen it happen. I think anyone who is considering it should clear it with the referee and the lifeguard before doing it. At some facilities, there is simply no way to do this safely.
Yeah, I took my three-year-old grandson to his swim lesson yesterday. The key point I made with him was never, ever, ever run on the pool deck. Allowing it in competition will spoil any respect he has for his grandpa. :cane: "Look, Grandpa. The big kids run on the pool deck!" :D
