Some of you may remember a newbie to these forums from several years back, Couroboros, an intriguing user name that, if memory serves me, refers to a creature chasing him own tail. Mr. Couroboros thought this aptly metaphorical for pool swimming, where one goes back and forth endlessly above a black line.
At the time, he was overweight and a total neophyte to swimming. He asked for, and received, no shortage of advice from many generous and encouraging members of this forum. Now, three years later, he has written about his new sport in a great short essay here:

Mr. Couroboros: you do swimming proud! Keep on chasing your tail in the years to come.
Congratulations Couroboros!!! And thanks Jim for telling me what the name means
You are welcome. I must say I.am quite proud of Mr. C and his decision to change from sedentery videophile to quite possibly the greatest selfmade adult swimmer since ion beza!

I want this on a golden plaque so I can hang it on the wall.
Thanks for posting the thread, Jim.
OK, totally awesome story except I'm a little PO'd ... I've been swimming for almost 40 years now and I still don't have the kind of muscle definition you got in 3 years, Mr. C. Nice going!
Nice transverse abdominis Couroboros! I am sure this new pursuit of yours has attracted quite a few female admirers. Not too shabby a consequence, I would say. Congratulations on your achievements. I have followed improvements with interest.
Count me as one of them; you look terrific! Congratulations for undergoing such an awesome transformation; both physically and mentally. Good luck! :cheerleader:

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I had to google "transverse abdominis," Syd. I am woefully undereducated when it comes to different muscles, although I have just started as of last month to learn more.
