Sporti goggles any good?

I bought the Sporti version of the Vanquisher about a year ago. They started fogging up after a few practices (no fingers, nothing put in the lens). Of course, the last 2 Vanquishers I've gotten have fogged up on the first use so maybe saving the $10 is worth it for Sporti and a few more times in the water before fogging.

I had the same experience with the Sporti version of the Vanquisher. I also found that the lenses scratched more easily and the goggles themselves developed leaks sooner. You may not have that issue with the Swedes, though. They're so cheap that they're worth a try.

I think I'll go with swedish brand, since it's only a dollar difference. If the sportis fogged up on other pairs I'm sure they'll fog up on swede style goggles too, but swedish goggles took a while to fog up on me

Goggles are the most personal choice you'll probably make in swimming. I got a pair of sportis free with something I ordered on swimoutlet and they seem fine enough for training. As for fogging, there's no reason any pair of goggles should fog: just follow the simple remedy of soaking them periodically (every 2-3 weeks overnight) in a mixture of water + baby shampoo.

I like the sporti. I find they seal well on my face - but that's all your pumpkin's shape and how the goggles fit your eye socket. Their prescription goggles work well for me. I can see the time clock to pull splits. I use the Tyr anti-fog in them. I spray them every morning on the way out the door and let them dry on the dash of the car on the way to the pool. I pull 3500 yards and never lift them off of my face. I just wish I didn't have to spray them every day! :chug: PT

This was too good of a deal to pass up so I ordered three pairs.

If they work for - use them. For a buck, give them a rty & use 7 different things to slow the fogging.

I got my goggles and wore a pair today. These are as basic a goggle as you can buy, even for swedes. They came with a nice bungee and fit well. No complaints at all. The actual goggle certainly isn't top quality but if treated with moderate care they will last a good long while.

I have had my swedes for 10 years now, they've "fogged" for 10 years, and I treat them like a beater car for 10 years. Shake your head a bit to move the water droplets inside around and they're unfogged again. If in the rare instance this doesn't work, after an interval, pull goggles away from eyes about an inch, rinse in pool or lick, and reapply to face. Masters swimmers are apparently weird about fogging. :blush: You'd think it was a sideache or leg cramp that won't go away . I can't remember a single instance in high school or college swimming of someone complaining about fog enough to do anything besides taking a few seconds to rinse or lick their goggles. What exactly are you trying to see besides the big lines on the bottom of the pool? Is it a learned behavior to need completely fogless goggles? Are you counting the individual tiles? Checking out the lifeguards? Am I the only one here that doesn't give a $#@& about fogging goggles? :afraid::bolt:
