There's really not a double standard in this regard. I don't think most people want to see men or women in revealing swimwear beyond a certain age. I do think there's a double standard in this country that it's OK for young women to wear bikinis as beachwear, but not OK for men to wear budgie smugglers. I wouldn't wear Speedo briefs to the beach, either, but it is a double standard.
