The preliminary Top 10 listings for the 2011 short-course yards season, which ran 6/1/10 - 5/31/11, are now available. Please check for inaccuracies and email Mary Beth Windrath, the National Swims Administrator, with potential corrections BY JULY 30. You can also email me or send me a PM.
Not sure about the men, but I can certainly speak for most of the women in and near my age group; suits have less to do with top ten results; the main point is who shows up!
And that's not always easy!!!
At any one point in time, there are a few that are racing alot and racing fast; many that range from dabbling to strong swims, many that don't go to nationals, and even more that for whatever reason, just don't show up that year. But the 10 that make it are always a fast bunch!
It is always a thrill to make top ten, so congratulations to everyone who made top ten in 2011 SCY!
