It's even more interesting when you consider Grant Hackett's 1500 free record is the only "pre suit" record left standing. Certainly doesn't "prove" anything, but it is interesting.
Not sure why, but Kate Ziegler's 1500 free record always gets forgotten in this type of discussion. She set the record in 2007, well before the shiny suits.
