Hi,
I've read that there is a variation on the beep test for swimmers to determine fitness level. It's mentioned at this site www.topendsports.com/.../swimming-beep-test.htm
Does anyone know where I could obtain a cd or something of it? I've tried searching the web, but that's as close as I've come. Thanks,
David

Just swim a mile or whatever distance you want all-out for time.

I like the phrase: The final 100m is (level 15) is at close to world record pace.
If you decide to swim that stuff and you are not one of the TOP100 world swimmers better call ambulance....
Sounds like just another silly drill to me. :bed:
It's indeed silly - the purpose: To test the aerobic fitness of swimmers just means nothing. There are much easier ways to define necessary issues like MHR and anaerobic threshold to use them for building training program. No need to swim a mile in WR pace.

More like, no need to test someone that can already achieve WR pace ;)
