Swimmers Elbow

I have been dealing with an elbow issue for the past 5 months. I regularly ice, use a compression sleeve and use ibuprofen and this seems to work tentatively but then a flair up occurs and I am right back to the same regiment. It almost feels like I have fluid buildup in my forearm. Has anyone else had this ongoing issue? If so , what is your regiment for healing?

  • I realize this is a late reply but did you ever have someone review your stroke mechanics? Tendinitis in the elbow is frequently related to incorrect shoulder movement that stresses the tendons and ligaments. It will continue to reoccur until your stroke is corrected especially if you increase the distance and effort of your swim.
