  • Get a grip? Does it matter if 10th place was fast or not? No. It matters in points at the meet, it matters to the person racing. It matters when you miss a medal ot a place. It matters when you tain and shell out money to an organization you had trust and faith in.  IT ALL MATTERS.

  • The assertion was that fast trans women are so numerous that they "HIGHLY affect NQTs." That assertion is ridiculous.

I also have quite a bit of competitive experience, so you don't need to explain to me what does and doesn't matter in competition. We just have different priorities.

As I noted above, if this particular swimmer at 2025 SCY Nationals didn't satisfy USMS's policy, she'll be retroactively DQ'd because of a successful eligibility protest. If she did satisfy USMS's policy but people think that policy should change, they can advocate for a policy they think will be better.

  • Okay. I was wondering if because the swimmer's results are listed on the USMS website for a number of years if this was already dealt with. The listing is a fact so perhaps there is some history I am not aware of.

  • is USMS aware the swimmer swam in numerous meets in 2010,etc.

  • She could have been confirmed eligible in the past, but it also could just be that nobody ever challenged her until now.

  • What about all the other events/meets in which this swimmer has competed over a number of years? Why should those results stand?

  • yes, It would be helpful to have a representative of the administration give some guidance as to who to connect with.

Many of us who were not in the age group etc. are evidently shut out of the application for complaint form Kurt so quickly found and shared.

  • I agree. Money talks. I hope USMS administration is open to folks opinions that don't agree with policy. I really have  difficulty with the concept, and documentation that this person swam in 2010, 2011 and 2012, a lot, and evidently not a whisper.  A tough situation that needs a judicous outcome.

  • According to the USMS Individual Results Tables - 2009 to 2012 as Hannah, then 2021 to present day as Ana.

  • It only needs one very fast one to skew the NQTs.
