 Sonja  you out-touched me fair and square in the W45-49 100 free by 0.01 but it should have been the difference between 1st & 2nd. Not 2nd & 3rd.

All the women (all 50+ of us) need to by filing protests along with the men & women in the Mixed relays affected by this. No more of this!!!!

I already filed my request for eligibility review and protest w/USMS and they are going to convene a board to review. My biggest concern is for World Championships because this person intends to compete there and in two of my events when I'm trying to get back on the podium and win a world championship. Also USMS has been submitting this person's times to World Aquatics for inclusion in the World Top 10 lists.

Honestly you need to make this far more well known outside of USMS. No major media source has picked this up. Start with your local news as well as SwimSwam

Evidently this person has been swimming at Masters meets since 2010 with a break to do Xrossfit. why is this only acknowledged now. 

If USMS has submitted this swimmer's times to World Aquatics, then three possibilities exist:

(1) she isn't trans; or
(2) she is trans and meets both the USMS and the World Aquatics standards for competing as a woman; or
(3) she is trans, but has not said so to USMS and nobody previously has protested her eligibility.

The current USMS policy allows most trans women to swim in USMS events as women, but it acknowledges that the World Aquatics rules are stricter.

An eligibility protest is the proper way to handle this concern. And if people believe USMS policy needs to change, they should advocate for that change as well, although IMO they should do so based on facts and not on hyperbole or fear.

Okay. I was wondering if because the swimmer's results are listed on the USMS website for a number of years if this was already dealt with. The listing is a fact so perhaps there is some history I am not aware of.

She could have been confirmed eligible in the past, but it also could just be that nobody ever challenged her until now.
