OK, it may be over a year away but why not start a thread on 2011 Short Course (Spring) Nationals? This meet will be held at the newly-renovated Kino Aquatics Center in Mesa, which is just east of Phoenix. So go ahead and pipe in, I'm sure we will get some good conversation flowing.
Is there an official date for this meet yet? Sorry if it's already posted somewhere, I didn't see it...

I was told April 28-May 1 but have not seen anything written in stone. There is talk of an open water swim at either Tempe Town Lake or Saguaro Lake on the Monday after the meet (May 2). Paul Smith probably knows so I will defer to him regarding dates...

Doug:
The 2010 US Masters Rule Book has the dates of May 6 to May 9, 2011 at the Kino Aquatic Complex and has the contact of Sam Hewson. The dates that you stated are 4 days after Easter Sunday and that is really tightening the schedule for State Championships and Zones in the different LMSC's in the country to have meets in first 2 weeks of April.

Frank,
those dates would be a Friday thru Monday situation. Is distance day going to be on a Monday again?
OK....details coming soon on hotels, restaurants, etc. For now here are some details:
- Dates are 4/28-5/1
- We will be hosting an open water swim at Saguaro Lake which will most likely offer a 1 mile, 2k and 4k. If you have never been to Arizona you might be surprised at how beautiful this locale is: www.saguarolakemarina.com
- Diamondbacks are in season, hoping for a home game at that time!
- Casino night possibly!
- Coors/MGD sponsored party with live band in the works!
- Oh....and the pool is FAST in case anyone is coming in to swim!!!
Hope we see you there!
All good, Paul, and good to see you back on the forums ...
I'll echo the beauty of Saguaro Lake and the FAST-ness of the pool.
As for the Coors party ... in Mesa???:chug:
There may well be a party involving Warsteiner, Carne Asada, and foosball at my place too :chug:, I'm just over 6 miles due East of the pool.
If next spring is anything like this spring was (PERFECT weather) then everybody should be in for a treat. Saguaro Lake may be a little bit chilly then (upper 60's, low 70's) but it will still be all beautiful. Its the ideal time of year to come to AZ.
