OK, it may be over a year away but why not start a thread on 2011 Short Course (Spring) Nationals? This meet will be held at the newly-renovated Kino Aquatics Center in Mesa, which is just east of Phoenix. So go ahead and pipe in, I'm sure we will get some good conversation flowing.
Ok. Thanks. Good luck to ya'll that are going. My delicate fur isn't fond of outdoor pools.Aww, c'mon. Slap some bullfrog on, forget racing backstroke and it's all good.
...I hate outdoor pools...Truth be told, I much prefer pool racing indoors, but training outdoors. However, I can't pass up a Nationals twenty minutes from my house.
Ok, I will agree with you on those points. Mesa is a little farther than 20 minutes for me though :)
While that may be true Wookiee - you might as well make the trip anyway. You're probably going to qualify... and since someone slow like myself cannot swim in place of you. You might as well fill your spots!
Michael, you can go to nationals in 3 events, regardless of your times. I going to focus on LCM at Auburn(that's only a 4 hour drive)
Sure - but I would love to go in as many as possible! :D Gotta get my $$s worth in travel! I'll pretty much be doing as many events as possible at every meet for the rest of my life until I actually have a chance of qualifying for something. (I've got 5 + 2 relays in the Sink Or Swim here in the Northern Burbs)

Naw. I don't have much else to race then. I hate outdoor pools. If someone would run a rope over each lane, from backstroke flag to backstroke flag, then I would consider it.
Otherwise, ya'll have fun.

parking should not be a problem:
1) Hotel Shuttles will be running from the primary hotel block
2) We open up the athletic fields behind the facility for parking...we hosted all the high school Championship meets last fall and had over 4000 swimmers/spectators in attendance at the 5A finals.
We have locked down our initial hotel list which is now listed on our website:
www.mesamasters.com (look for the Nationals tab with a drop down menu listing hotels).
We will also be adding a hotel right outside of Saguaro Lake which is about 25 minutes from Kino. Great place for families to stay who are interested in doing anything but sitting at a meet all day...jeep tours, horseback riding, hiking, etc. etc.
According to the order of events for Spring Nationals - the women's 500 free, 200 fly, 200 free and the open water are all on the same day? Am I reading this correctly?
Also - are the distance machines allowed to swim both the 1000 and the 1650?
