Just noticed the schedule for Austin

Warmups are from 7:30-8:30 with the meet starting at 8:35 a.m. Every other USMS Nationals I recall attending had the events starting at 8:00.
  • Good, I prefer starting later even though I know it means ending later.
  • I agree. Especially for those of us coming from Pacific time.

Yup, that means an extra 35 minutes at the bar the night(s) before!

I am on the Championship Committee, and if I remember correctly, I believe the reason for the late start was to accomodate an early swim practice for those swimmers that have qualified to attend Olympic Trials.
  • austin bars close at 2 am ande Yup, that means an extra 35 minutes at the bar the night(s) before!
  • I'll take it... just as long as they don't drop my 6th event because the meet is now running long. :rant3:
