Looking ahead to 2012, they have posters here in Sweden about the next FINA Masters to be held in Riccione, Italy. I went there when they held it in 2004 and had a great time. The dates are June 2-16, 2012.

in Sweden we get 5 weeks vacation from day one of employment. some county workers get a 6th week when they turn 40 and 2 more days at 50.
some fields also have 37.5-39 hr works weeks, but work 40 hrs any ways getting nearly 4-10hrs time off each month.
I'm in my third month of six months of paid parental leave where i get roughly 90% pay. (My wife was home for 9 months months also paid. )

DUE TO THE HUGE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS AT THE OPEN WATER EVENT, THE FINA MASTER COMMITTEE AND THE O.C. DECIDED, FOR SAFETY REASONS, TO SPLIT THE RACE IN TWO DAYS, SATURDAY 16th AND SUNDAY 17th JUNE.
ON SATURDAY THE 16TH JUNE AGE GROUPS 40, 35, 30 AND 25 MEN AND WOMEN WILL START, ON SUNDAY THE OTHERS AGE GROUPS 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50 and 45 MEN AND WOMEN.
THE SWIMMERS INVOLVED IN THE OPEN WATER AND 400 FREE ON SATURDAY COULD BE ABLE TO SWIM IN BOTH EVENTS.
there are 1973 ow swimmers and 8385 pool swimmers. the average is 3 events per pool swimmer
522 swimmers from the US, 4824 from Italy.
Sweden has it's largest ever (outside of sweden worlds) 185.
OW has raised to 2330 swimmers...... race wll be split in two days for safety reasons

Dang!! I sure wish we had that option around here! We can have paternal/maternal leave to keep out job, but it's unpaid. That's why most of us fathers only are gone for a couple days or so.

We have a 3km river race in Sweden with 23 start groups. With 49 days until the race there are already 6501 swimmers

where is the validity checking on these? totally stunned by the number of fake entry times!!!

in the 45-49 mens 800. the guy that was #1 in the world is seated 6th with his #1 time.
and 4 entry times in front of him end in .00
