Is there any good training (pool or dryland) that allows a swimmer to drastically improve endurance swimming a 200IM using a 30 day plan? Specially if this swimmer is a good sprinter but start to slow down after the first 50 yards. Any suggestions or tips?
There is probably a lot more that I would want to know before making recommendations on a short term training plan for a 200 IM... Maybe you could provide some additional information such as:
Your current training plan - How many times per week do you currently swim? How many yards per workout? What type of workouts do you swim (maybe an example of some of your current workouts - levels of intensity, types of sets, etc...)? Are you swimming with a masters team, workout group, or on your own? How much pool access do you have? How much time can you dedicate to swimming? Do you also spend time in the weight room (if so, how much and what type of weight training are you doing?) Other dryland training? Other cardio training?
I know that this sounds like a lot, but the answers here will help provide a better answer to your initial post... This simple answer to your question is YES, but the better answer will come with more details.
