post-surgery workouts

Hi, I am looking for workouts that are post-surgery friendly. In August 2011, I had surgery on my left shoulder to repair a SLAP type II/V tear. I've been swimming using both arms (versus one-arm swimming/drills) since November and am seeking ideas for drills, sets, etc. to change things up from the routine workouts I've been doing. Thanks for any help!

  • I had the same surgery June 16 2010. July 31 i did my first workout doing just 1 arms (the other). on Aug 12 i did my 1st 2 arm workout a total of 1300yds with fins (full fins) i slowly built that up and over the next month still using fins. on Sept 9 i did my first 25 of fly. 2 days later switched to burners instead of full fins. i dont have written down when i stopped using them. well, actually i still dont use a kickboard and kick with burners on my back. by now you should be able to do just about anything or close to it. push it when you can and dont when you cant. i still have to ice mine at times. i did pretty well at mesa and auburn. so i know you can recover from this.
