Anyone know a good team to train with in the city of San Francisco? I'll be back there next Wednesday for a biz meeting. I could drive down to Palo Alto, but wondered if anyone knew of a good team actually in downtown San Fran?

USF is the championship team and facility in San Francisco.
BUT!
Paul Carter, 50-54 butterfly champion, is the new head coach at the Olympic Club.
I would personally recommend even a single practice session with Paul.
2008 Pacific Master Coach of the Year, Laureen Welting is the Olympic Club's Assistant Coach.
If you have to get up super early and can get out to "the Sunset" at 5:30am, there is a nice group who practices at St Ignatius High School - FOG CITY Masters.
And believe me... it is foggy out there!!
All clubs can be found at:

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair....
Walnut Creek is only 30 minutes away.
We have five practices: five:30am (stupid five key!), 6:4five am, 10:30am, noon, and 7 pm.
You could even take BART over. Depending on when you swim, I could pick you up! Hey baby, wanna ride? Oh, sorry, not that kind of pick up :D
Let me know : ]
Thanks all, for the great advice.
Karen -- I'd really love to come swim with the fabled team at Walnut Creek, but don't think the drive or BART is going to work for me.
Ahelee -- Can a mere mortal drop-in at the Olympic Club? I can't seem to find info online about them. Seems like a secret society to me:)
Has anyone trained with the Burlingame Aquatic Club Masters? I've now got an 8:30am meeting in Foster City, so I think I need to stick very close by.

Patrick, unless something radical has changed there's no drop-in's allowed a TOC...I'll email you contact info so you can confirm.
I swam with Burlingame a few years back, very nice facility but not sure who's running things there these days.

Scott Williams formerly of TOC is the new guy at Burlingame.

Burlingame is nice. Monday mornings are usually long course. Short course the Wed-Fri.
Coach is nice, not overally friendly but not rude...if it is still the same. I can find out from a friend, if your interested.
