Help, I've got 4 weeks to do a 100 fly

I did a 50 fly in my first swim meet in 20+ years with minimal training so I thought I would have no problem doing a 100 three months later. Since then I have trained harder and improved significantly in the freestyle with speed and endurance yet I still die after 50 yards of butterfly. 95% of my training is free as the fly takes everything out of me. At the end of a 2000 yard workout I might do one 50. That might not sound like much to you all but I can do a set of like 15 x 100 which is well beyond what i have been capable in years. Once a week I might do 10X25 fly or I might just see how far I can go. I always die after the 2nd turn. Complete breakdown. Yet I could do a 50 months ago without any concern at all of just completing the distance. My stroke may be fundamentally flawed. Maybe I just got by as a youth on raw power. The only form I have is all out until the momentum is lost and then it is complete breakdown withing 3 strokes. I don't know if there is some kind of hesitation stroke I can use to get through, but at this point I think I need sets and strategies to build up to it on the stroke I have.

Sunday the rhytmn stroke of my race was very slow... Well, today I swam and I have try a technically trained of fy, new good feelings, i think is the right way but I need of your OK.:agree: I noticed that everythink changes completely if i contrat low of the body, the lower abdominal... the position of the head, legs moviment an the speed of recovery change if you hold a position of the bust or posture "similar" to swim the backstroke, slightly curved like a banana... Low of the body hold, legs and arms more relax. The only difficulty is to breathe without lifting the head keeping it in line with the spine. Will you confrm??? And in this case what are the appropriate exercises to strenghten and maintein this posture even in the 100 fly? I hope to be clear enough. I'm preparing for a new tender. Thankyou!!!!!

1:16 I tried to go slow and took a nice long breath at each turn and felt so good I tried to sprint home the last 25, but that only lasted a few yards. While it feels like a great personal accomplishment the other 40 year olds are going under a minute. Looks like me and Easy could have a good showdown. I've got to rest my tenders first though

Well, try this set. I feel this one has always been good for me. 20x100 1st 10: 25 fly sprint with easy 75 free (little rest since easy 75 free) 2nd 10: each 25 is 4 strokes of fly at sprint speed off the wall with the rest of the 25 easy free. I like this set because I can get faster and my endurance increases. Easy to adjust set once your body doesn't get exhausted anymore.
