Well, that's a bit of a shame...

The coached workouts threads seem to be restricted to actual USMS members. Fair enough, I guess, but they've always been the main (possibly only) reason I visited the site. I got a lot of my workouts (mainly "Distance Free") courtesy of Chris Layton and Scott Hofteizer over the last 2 years or so, and tips from the other coaches. Thanks for making that possible, chaps!

Hi, I also think that it is a pity that the workouts have been restricted to members only. A lot of Masters are training by themselves at times when it suits them between the daily obligations and I'm sue the workouts have been of help or even an inspiration to them. I write workouts (on a honorary basis:)) for one of the biggest and most successful Masters Club in Germany and I have enjoyed reading and comparing the US workouts sometimes. My team doesn't get any financial help- on the contrary: we help and support the young swimmers. I post my workouts to interested people to get them training and enjoy swimming or to prepare for big championships. I think that is what Masters swimming is all about.:bliss:
