Getting to travel as much as we do we get to "taste" a lot of workouts from clubs all over the country...plus on occasion I come up with something to toss at the workouts I coach.
For those lucky enough to swim with me Saturday (I'm coaching) here's the main set:

Want to report that I've done three of your main sets in the past week with some fellow teammates. I've never heard such an endless list of four letter words directed my way.

How much does a parachute slow you down? For example, if I normally swim 100 free in 1:10, how much slower would I expect to go with a parachute attached to my whatever-the-parachute-attaches-to?

Paul:
Did this as one of our main sets this morning. It was an excellent set. Can you post a good meet prep workout or do you even believe in those?

I could...but would rather talk through it "live" as there are about a million variables based on the info you just gave me (what events have you trained for, what are you racing, is this a shave/taper meet, which day(s) out from the meet, how do you feel in the water right now, etc. etc.)! Text me a good time and we can connect!

Rd#4 odds free @ 1:05/evens stroke/IM on 1:20 followed by 400 parachute pull (w paddles & pull buoy at ankles)
Note: the stroke/IM swims swimmers who couldn't make that interval would swim as many lengths stroke as they could and still make the interval...our sprinters did the 1st 25 fast stroke then 75 free
