When I say a complete beginer I mean I have never been on a swim team or competed in any water sports. The reason I want to get into swimming is because I believe it can improve my other sports (football, basketball), and if I become good enough I may join a swim team in my town next spring/summer.
I'm looking for a workout that would provide me with a solid base to build off of. I'm a strong swimmer, but endurance kills me. I think that is where I need to start, building up my capacity to handle intense workouts. If anyone has links or suggestions for workouts I could do that would be great. I lift 3 times a week, but I can swim on off day.
