Hi,
I'm getting back into some pretty intense workouts (I swim anywhere from 3,000 - 4,000 yards, 5 days a week).
The question I have is when to incorporate weight training with my swimming? I know that weight lifting can really help in swimming, but what is enough? what is too much? I'd like a balance between swimming and weight lifting, but since I don't know what to do, I've scrapped the lifting completely and just focused on swimming.
On that note, I'm in my second week of training (so I'm kind of in a transition phase where I'm not out of shape--and I wasn't too out of shape before starting back up--but I'm not in the best shape either). Does anyone have any advice on how to set up a good training regime? I'm aiming for a swim meet in mid-march.
thanks,
Noel

I have suggested this guys stuff for years, it reminds me of things we did as kids. I am not much for this kind of thing for myself I am too lazy.
It reminds me of the things my coach had us do when we were developing our skills. www.brianmac.co.uk/.../swimstrength.htm
