Hey guys!
I'm Brooke. Next year I would like to join my schools swim team. I have swam before when I was younger and so I have experience with swimming on a team. Right now I'm trying to get back into shape and begin swimming. I have a busy schedule with homework and cheerleading practice but, I'm trying hard to find time to workout.
I plan to do one type of cardio each day (or two if I have the time) which consists of either 20 minutes on the stairmaster, 30 minutes on the eliptical machine, running for 20 minutes on a treadmill, or swimming for 45 minutes in an indoor pool. For strength training I will be doing weight machines, or body excerises such as crunches, lunges, etc.
Does anyone have any other suggestions on my dry land workouts or cardio? Any suggestions or excerises that you have found effective will be helpful!! Thanks so much!
XOXO,
Brooke

with everything you are doing now with cheerleading and working out, I would think that you should just simply try to get more swimming time. you seem to be in good general shape, but i have seen several people come up to our group and say they want to swim again, they did when they were younger and have stayed in shape with weights, running and biking. but they lost almost all the feeling of swimming.
if you are looking to be on the schools team next fall/winter, then try finding others to swim with. is there a summer league in your area. that would be perfect to get some group practices as well as races under belt this summer.
