how to regain swimming fitness

I decided to focus on cycling this past year rather than swimming. As a result, I've only been in the water about once a week since April. Now that I'm heading into the "off-season" for cycling, I'd like to regain some fitness in the pool (I'm definitely slower). I'll be able to get in 3-4 workouts per week Nov-Feb (1-1.5 hours/session). My question is: How should my workouts be focused to regain fitness over that time period? By that I mean, should I initially focus on aerobic swimming and slowly add in more threshold and sprint efforts as the winter progresses? Or should I do a mix of all of those every week, even from the beginning? Unfortunately, I never paid attention to these sort of things while swimming in college--I just did the workout on the board. Finally, if anyone has book recommendations for books that discuss micro- and macro-training cycles for swimming (e.g. weekly/monthly/season) and how to train different systems (e.g. aerobic vs anaerobic) I would appreciate them. (something along the lines of "the cyclist's training bible" or "the triathlete's training bible" but for swimming.)
