I just started swimming in masters meets in July. I've swam two meets so far and am looking to swim a third September 22nd. My previous swim experience is only 1 season of high school. My last masters meet I swam a 2:36 200m (short course meters), a 5:41 400m ( I actually split :32 50m, 1:09 100m and 2:38 200m so I went out way too fast) , and I did a 50 fly as a relay. This was a fast running meet lasting only about an hour and 45 minutes. I would like to break 53s in the 100yds and 2:10 in the 200yds and a 5:50 500yds by the end of the season or the equivalent in meters whatever those times would be, which my season will end at the end of November. I've been swimming 4-5 days a week averaging about 4,000yds a session. Typically with a 400-500yd warmup, 2000yds main set, 500-1000yds of pulling, and 500-1000yds of kicking. Than a short cooldown. I try to lift at least twice a week and run 1-2 days a week to supplement my swimming. What are some good workouts for me to do and what should I do to routine to help me achieve those goals of a 53s 100yd and a 2:10 200yd and a 5:50 500yd?
