Breaststroke Workouts for Competition

I would appreciate some workouts for the 50, 100 & 200m breaststroke events. Can anyone assist? Sadet :confused:
  • I'm interested in the type of workouts for *** also. I've been doing a 200 for form - 2 100s on 2 min. then 3-4 50s on 1 min - still can't find my form- kick 1/3 of workout ***. BTW I like the link to "The ultimate swimming clipart site" you have on your web page.
  • 50s on the minute (100 on the 2:00 etc.) are fine for early to mid season work,but it really won't build speed enough. To build speed one needs to go race pace or faster. Unless you are much better than I,you can't go race pace in 50s on the minute(actually I can go 200 Br.pace at that interval and that can be a good set for 200 Br. 10X50 Br.on the min. with the goal time of equal to the the last 50 of my goal 200 time) For 100 pace I do 50s on the 3-4 min with the goal time of the 2nd 50 of my goal 100 time. I don't stop between 50's but rather swim cool down speed free(to lower lactic acid and discourage people jumping into my lane) For 50 pace I do 25s all out on the 2-2:30(again with cool down free.) I start doing these 14 wk before a big meet.
