I am just starting out in the pool and I have a few questions,
First of all does anyone know a specific stroke or anything to help tone my stomach if there is such a thing.
Also I have been searching high and low for diagrams or pictures of muscles worked in specific strokes, does anyone have any of these or know of where to look. Google.com was no help.

I am fairly certain that both Emmett Hines' Book, "Fitness Swimming" & Jane Katz's book (can't remember the name) talk about the muscles you use when you swim.
The "tone"ing of your stomach will come with the repeated flip turns from freestyle. If you really want to speed the process, try butterfly kick on your back with arms stretched overhead. With or without a board will work fine as will fins or without fins. Just get ready to feel that "tummy burn"!
