I've just entered my 2nd trimester of pregnancy and wanted to ask how much and to what effort they swim. Also, how long where they able to swim IM workouts.

You can usually continue training you are accustomed to. Generally, times will slow as pregnancy progresses. You do need to pay attention to how you feel. If you are exhausted after a set or a workout, you should decrease the intensity of your workouts.
It's all individual. There are no large studies to provide guidance. If anything feels bad, causes pain, or causes contractions, you should stop doing it.
