Howdy,
I just started USMS and workout by myself 99% of the time. I swim in a LC pool and would like any suggested workouts--primarily to improve 100/200M ***, and 1500+ M free (for triathlon). I am in good condition, and would like some more advanced workouts/drill suggestions/sagely advice. I am capable of 3000M+ workouts 5-6 days a week (this time of year). Tanx for reading and help a brother out! theiguana@msn.com

I have been working out by myself in a 25 yard pool for one year, generally with a lane to myself. I started out three workouts a week alternating sets of 100's one week, then sets of 200's the next week. I felt that long sets and lots of yards would build endurance.
Since the beginning of this year I have been using Mel Goldstein's workouts posted onto the USMS workouts section. The workouts have a lot of variety and they have made my workouts more well rounded. I would suggest trying a week of one of the contributing coaches workouts. It is also easier to do a workout that someone else has written. There is less "negotiating" with yourself, you just do what is written regardless of how you feel.
