So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week. Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:

I'm happy with my new 400m PR of 6:27, down from a recent 6:29. I tried a longer warmup today: 800m easy + 4x100m. 800m seemed excessive a few weeks ago, but now I believe that it will be the usual start to my sessions. I recently decided that 800m/1500m as an effort/race/event bores me. I'm quite happy to do 50m to 400m. Nobody will ever mistake me for a "sprinter", but those 4 events are what I want to do/try. I'm also very happy to rejig my weekly schedule to take this new/narrower focus into account. (My sig!!) :) Cool! I hope you realize that you have now mastered Master's Swimming! That is all it: doing what you want to do and having fun doing it. Good job Skuj!
