Swim happy

So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week. Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:

I just got back in the water on Monday after a 2-weekish hiatus (10 days of being very, very sick, during which I swam my personal best 500 at 11m38s the morning after a 24hr and spent the entire remainder of the day in bed, following by a week of vacationing in Maryland/DC and being too busy with zoos and museums and good food to think of swimming) and was feeling pretty good. I swap between SCM and SCY because the SCM is near my house, but the SCY is on the way home from work. Gets a bit weird, but I had a good SCM workout on Monday and was feeling good this morning, set up to time my 500, zoomed right the hell along, got to the end and - the start button on my watch didn't work. :bitching::badday: uggh I want to say it was faster than 11m38s, but I have no idea. But either way, it's a good start to getting back in and not falling behind on my GTD results. Now my task is to find some open water and preferably a buddy to go with before the Amesbury swim - I confess, I'm too nervous to go all alone to unattended water. I know how quickly even good swimmers can get into trouble. Maybe a buddy would get me to swim faster, too. :laugh2:
