Swim happy

So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week. Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:

  • Achieved a new personal best in my usual 500 breaststroke (as part of my workout) - a smooth 11m43s. (But Badger, you say. That's not very fast at all. And I said, well, considering that 5 years ago I was working to get below 18m, I would say it's not half bad). My goal/aim/directive/hope is to swim in a couple of local open-water events come the summer (1/2 mile to 1mile), and achieve a moderately reasonable time so. Slowly getting faster. Way to go, 'Badger! Don't worry about what other people think or say about your time. It's all relative, right, it was a terrific improvement for you, and that's all that matters. :agree:
