So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week. Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:

  • I had a swim happy on Saturday when I competed at the Southside Seals Pentathlon meet and raced an Ironman Pentathlon for the first time. :afraid: I successfully completed the 400 IM, 200 free, 200 breaststroke, 200 backstroke, and 200 fly races in 2-1/4 hours. My times were pokey, but I feared the piano crashing on my back in my last race- 200 fly. Instead, looking back on the film, I kept my stroke together, even if it was VERY slow: That Fly looked pretty good to me. You were consistent, and blew your lane neighbors away!
