So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week.
Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:
After one of my swims last week, an older gentleman was chatting with my husband while he waited for me to come out of the locker room. He said "I noticed your wife is a flyer! She was doing a great job!" I've never been called a flyer before. :) I've had kids in the age group team I swim with comment on my fly before though. Anyway, I taught myself to swim fly a little over a year ago and it has become my favorite stroke. So to be called a 'flyer' was a big compliment. Especially since I had actually noticed said gentleman during our swim when he was doing fly and thought 'Wow, he's good!'.
Now I need to work on increasing my distance so I can join the Butternuts. :D
