So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week.
Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:
Yesterday I went 6:15 for a 500 in the middle of a 6600 yd workout. That is my best time this year.
Today I went 4:53 for a 400 yard free (yes, silly distance) at an intramural swim meet (I'm a grad student) and won. The real SWIM HAPPY was that I got my ass kicked in 50s, then exacted revenge in the 400.
