So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week.
Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:
Thanks, King Frog! Although I hadn't updated my official GTD goal, I already planned on shooting for 350. I'm on pace for more, however, I have a very busy remainder of the year ahead of me.
Hey, K.F., my other swim happy: Aging up to 50, in January, buys me more time in the NQT's for Greensboro. Now, in addition to making it in the 50 breaststroke, I am very close to making it in the 100. And, the 50 free is a possibility, as well. As for the 200 breaststroke? :afraid:The extra time given me by aging up is still not enough; I'm 11seconds off from my PB! :badday: So, I'm changing my training focus and will do the 200 as my fun (I'm twisted...), extra event, along with the 100IM.
If you think you'll surpass 350,go for 365(one mile per day average.)
