I find it odd that USMS doesn't have a mobile app yet. For those of us who use the FLOG, a mobile app would make logging our workouts so much more convenient than having to wait until we're at a desktop to remember and log our sets.
Wouldn't even need to be a mobile app, per se, just a mobile optimized site!
Yes, a mobile-friendly theme on the main site would be nice for sure! I've just upgraded most of my websites to mobile-friendly themes recently as Google has started using it as a ranking measure in SEO.
