Butterfly, beautiful to watch, difficult to train.
We SDK off every wall.
We're most likely to smack hands with each other and those beside us.
Fly's fun to sprint but no fun when the piano comes down

Maybe you guys should try this during this fine winter season:
Snow butterfly swimming - in continental regions of Croatia (Mario Gajski style - Našice) - YouTube
Butterfly in the snow anyone :afraid:? You don't even need a sled! Just a big dose of insanity!
Next time it snows here, I'll do it - on video! :D
That is way cool looking. He had pretty good form.I wonder how it would be with a real slope. There are several ski areas near Seattle TG could try.
:cheerleader: WoooHOOOO! Goooo That Guy!! How about inaugurating it as a new event in the Check-Off Challenge? :bliss:
How about joining me for an end-of-the-year 1000 fly to send off 2012; a year that flew by! :chug: Who's in? Swim it before the end of the year and post your YouTube video ( :snore: ) on this thread, if available. This is NOT a race challenge, mainly, because I know I will lose big-time. Just swim it, post here, send it to Butternuts so they can update your nutty profile (or add you as a new NUT), and pour yourself a :wine: to celebrate! (Or, if you prefer, :bed:...)
:chug:
Even better, how about doing both an end-of-the-year and start-of-the-year 1000 fly?
If your team offers a midnight practice (I know there are some out there, although they might just be the stuff of legend), swim it in 2012 and then again in 2013!!
Or, if you can't swim overnight, swim it right before the pool closes on the 31st and then first thing in the morning when the pool opens on the 1st! It's a win-win! :bliss:

Unfortunately, our pool (and all of the other pools I know of in the area) all would be closed. :badday:
Maybe next year. I have to attend this clinic first: ANNOUNCING...73 meter Butterfly Clinic !!! - U.S. Masters Swimming Discussion Forums
I will be demonstrating a similar system during the 200 fly in Atlanta this Saturday. I'll also be including the rarely-duplicated "take six breaths on every turn" strategy. Don't miss it!
I will postpone my warmdown after the 100 back in order to attend!
Watch sickfish vs. Swimosaur as each demonstrates conclusively why he should NOT be swimming the 2 fly! Much merriment for the crowd ...

OK, Elaine, I'm in for 1,000 yards of butterglide, non-stop, by 12-31-12. No video. I will report to you upon completion. Yosemite
