flip turns

How does one judge distance in doing flip turns?

Parents
  • do you mean how to judge distance from the wall heading into the turn?

The "T" cross at the end of the lane line that is on the bottom of a competition pool is your best gauge on where you are from the wall. Typically at that point is where you learn to judge how far from the wall you are and when to make your turn. Since that is the same distance from the wall you learn how many strokes and when to initiate the turn.
