coachsci.sdsu.edu/.../ultra40a.pdf There is a method, which is referred to as the Rushall method which Michael Andrew uses. Was wondering if you had any critique about this. If this sort of training is a good idea and what are the problems. Would this also be good for longer events? Like the 400 IM? Thanks!

  • The wookie- i believe there is better research that states this type of training Is dangerous for childrens development. See jonty skinner lectures etc. So i am slightly angered when this discussion comes up. Sorry if i hurt your feelings. The training 20 years ago was pretty good. Evans, mary t, biondi, barrowman. They all held american and/or world records for 10, 15, 20 years. I thought you said that research pertained to children doing anaerobic work. But when I said USRPT was mainly aerobic, you conceded that was so. So how precisely is aerobic work dangerous?!
