coachsci.sdsu.edu/.../ultra40a.pdf There is a method, which is referred to as the Rushall method which Michael Andrew uses. Was wondering if you had any critique about this. If this sort of training is a good idea and what are the problems. Would this also be good for longer events? Like the 400 IM? Thanks!

The problem is that he thinks race pace repetitions can be maximized for 50s by doing, among other things, 4x6x12.5m. I do not think this set can be accomplished at race pace by anybody on the planet. I believe you are mistaken. But why waste your time on me? Take it up with Dr. Rushall. He does not suffer fools, but I have always known him to be willing to listen to reasonable arguments. Dogmatic, anecdotal assertions, however, unsupported by evidence, will not get you very far.
